Destruction of 3D Object
Creating a 3d dimensional soft object. Covering the surface with “pixels”. destroying the 3d object that occupies space with a 2d expression of destruction.

Things to be considered as pixels:
straight pins with balls on the end
buttons (how to sew them on a 3d object?)
buttons attached with the straight pins

3d object to make:
cat
mounted animal head
facet
water pipes

Images to be created on the objects surface:
destruction

Plaid as Pixels
Using plaid, small scale and large scale to create a pixelated image on the human form. Representing what’s underneath the clothes or creating a 3d illusion of huge folds or ruffles.

Lace cells
Use the cells of lace to interweave a design in using the lace design itself to elevate the chosen added image.

I decided the destruction of the 3D object would be the strongest in concept and execution.
The object chosen needs to be easily identifiable, and a fixture that makes sense occupying space when displayed on the wall. This means that it can be a common everyday fixture such as a water facet or door knob, or a recognizable wall mounted piece of decor, I’m thinking of a animal head or candelabra.
Researching into animal heads, I found this website.

UPDATE

I ended up coming up with a forth way of creating my pixeled image. Gather 3 knits in RGB, layer them, then systematically unravel where I would like depth and highlight.
